Organic China Green ~ Eli

Biscuity! I finally get what this confounding tea adjective refers to: the aroma of freshly baked biscuits… Okay, maybe not.

Well, in addition to biscuits, this unknown provenance Green has the aroma of heavy chlorophyll and wet reeds. The loose leaf looks a great deal like a a Chun Mee, with the same grey speckled, curly bud and one leaf (though not as tightly curled, not quite a precious eyebrow curl). The flavor is slightly unlike anything I’ve had previously (not uncommon for Eli’s incredible finds). Organic China Green is extremely refined (which is kind of odd that i need to brew it so hot at ~183 degrees F) with a Liu An Gua Pian or Tai Ping Hou Kui-like mellow bamboo texture (and so my best guess for where this tea was grown will be Anhui?). Organic China Green has a full-Chinese Green tea tea grit and I kind of want to keep swishing it in my mouth forever. The spent tea looks just beautiful and opens really well despite my having used a bag infuser. The taste is lush and floral. I keep getting the image in my head of a martial arts fighting movie sequence that takes place in medieval China.  I want to rename Organic China Green “Wushu Master”. xD
