Montana Gold ~ TeaSource

Although I rarely spend money on Rooibos tisanes anymore, I gripped this one when I visited the Grand Rapids Coffee Roasters a couple months back. It has a terrific scent.

Spicy with a harsh chai-like aroma, Montana Gold is actually pretty enticing. The liquor has an amazing red-orange tinge and surprisingly seems totally homogeneous. In taste though, Montana Gold isn’t as overpoweringly spicy as you’d imagine from the smell. Rooibos is Montana Gold’s most distinguishing flavor, with notes of warming orange peel and biting cactus or aloe. I didn’t expect there to be any texture necessarily, and there really isn’t apart from the tiniest rooibos grit. Warning, it may induce sneezing. xD
