Oh no! This is my very last Light of Day Organics tea i have to review. I must needs place an order (or take a drive North…) this weekend. The tricky part is deciding what to get when everything I’ve tried is just so amazing. *sigh* First World problems, dontchaknow?
Limited Ed., Vanilla Heaven is a name that doesn’t feel like a hyperbole.
Sniffing the inside of the tea canister (which i am wont to do) reminds me of a fine dark chocolate. And actually, the liquor isn’t so far removed from that. The vanilla does a lovely job of cutting through an otherwise lush Assamica Black. In flavor, you may as well call Vanilla Heaven a dessert tea. I would have zero qualms about serving it to visiting dignitaries or royalty. Rather than bitter, Vanilla Heaven has a slightly roasted and robust chocolate note with a sweet gooey vanilla finish. In texture Vanilla Heaven is very Tippy with a goodly amount of Assam grit. I don’t think I’m off the mark in calling Vanilla Heaven a FTGFOP (though a glance at the loose leaf will tell you its manufacture is closer to a TGBOP).
