Smells like… Tokyo Disneyland? Sumida Park Promenade? The shops above the Seattle Fish Market? I don’t want to say it smells like fish, because that would be inaccurate. More like… grassy fish environs. ;p
In flavor, a thoroughly astringent Japanese Green. New Chlorophyll Hills. Bitter, yes very bitter, but with an unexpected buttery, crisp aftertaste. In texture Organic Sencha Superior is powdery and dense: a full tart mouthfeel. Organic Sencha Superior cups to a bright greeny jade. I wouldn’t say Organic Sencha Superior is undesirable. However, i don’t think i would say it’s the best Japanese sencha I’ve ever had either.
